Petting Zoo Assistants you must be able to commit to Petting Zoo Parties and Events that occur during the week, and weekends. Morning and Afternoon. Duties: -Monitor the public’s interaction with exhibit animals to help maintain the safety of both visitors and animals.-Interact with petting zoo guest using age-appropriate conversation-Enhance petting zoo guests’ experience through educational interpretation-Assist with crowd control and flow throughout the petting zoo-Assist with the cleaning and upkeep of the exhibit-Loading up animals before and after parties in a safe and friendly manner-Ensuring that each guest upon leaving is hand-sanitized-Cleaning up hay and poop duties Qualifications:-Must be 18 years old-Must feel comfortable handling farm animals and reptiles-Child- and Family-Friendly, with excellent customer service-Experience working with animals and children is a plus-Must be able to communicate with all age levels-Must be punctual -Must be able to lift 50lbs-Ability to stand for 4 hours outdoors-Must be willing to get dirty or wet-Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. We do not cancel parties due to inclement weather.-Ability to work independently-Must exhibit a willingness to learn and share information about the animalsPay:Pay depends on experience.Job Title: Full Time Petting Zoo Ranch HandDuties:-Feeding and watering the animals-Cleaning out barns, pens, crates, and inside the van-Making sure the van is stocked and ready to go for the next event-Fixing things-Bathing/grooming animals-Attend large petting zoo eventsQualifications:-Must be 18 years old.-Must feel comfortable handling farm animals and reptiles.-Experience working with animals is a plus.-Must be punctual. -Must be able to lift 50lbs.-Must be willing to get dirty or wet.-Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. -Ability to work independentlyMust exhibit a willingness to learn about the animals.Pay:Pay depends on experience.
